TEACHER INCENTIVE PLAN
 

The Board of Education supports the concept of school improvement and recognizes the importance of quality teachers in this effort. In support of this committment, the Board of Education has agreed to appropriate incentive pay in the amount outlined below in the following areas:
 

$100                     per credit

TEACH                 COLLEGE CREDIT COURSE FORM.

Teach                   a College Credit Course under the guidelines outlined by Northeast                   Community College's early entry program.
a.                   Master Degree Teacher
                  b. Approval of Course Curriculum
                  c. Enroll students in College Course
                  c. Teach course
                  d. Assess student progress
                  e. Record grades with Northeast Community College

$125 per semester

TEACH                     DISTANCE LEARNING COURSE FORM.

Three or more classes - 2 prep periods

Teach                   a Distance Learning Course under the guidelines outlined per                   semester by the Eastern Nebraska-Distance Learning Consortium.                  
a.                   Selected by Distance Learning Consortium
                  b. Approval of Course Curriculum
                  c. Enroll Students in Course
                  d. Teach Course
                  e. Assess Student Progress
                f. Maximum of six courses counted for payment
                g. One period will only be counted one time for payment

$250 per semester

TEACHING ASSIGNMENT OUTSIDE OF DISTRICT.

Teaching assignment outside of district.

a. Approval of Building Principal
                b. Professionally fulfills duties as assigned
                c. Must physically leave district
                d. Can only be counted once

$150 per day (Max. 3 days) 

CONDUCT                     WORKSHOP OUTSIDE OF CONTRACT DAY.

WORKSHOP/CLASS                 EVALUATION FORM.

Conduct                   an approved workshop or class for staff.
a.                   Approval of Building Principal
                  b. Present Workshop (at least 2 hours in length)
                  c. Conduct evaluation from workshop participants
                  d. Present evidence to Board of Education

$125 per semester

TEACH ONLINE COURSE.

Develop online course.

a.                   Course approved by Building Principal
                  b. Develop and deploy online course (myeLearning)
                c. Conduct evaluation of online course
                d. Develop and use Angel Software consistently throughout a DL Course

CURRICULUM                 CHAIR
                (K-8 CORE CLASSES)

College Credit Tuition Reimbursement.

College Credit Tuition Reimbursement.
a.                   Endorsement requested/approved by principals.
                  b.Successful course completion verified.
                  c. Tuition reimbursement only if hours are not used for salary schedule advancement.
 

$200                   per Assigned Teacher 

TECHNOLOGY TEAM TRAINER 

Technology                   Team Trainer.
a.                   Assist assigned teacher with technology integration
                  b. Assist assigned teacher with powergrade program (gradebook)
                  c. Attend required workshops and inservice training
                  d. Report progress/problems to Technology Coordinator

CLASSROOM                     STRATEGY/ASSESSMENT FORM.

Develop                   and implement new teaching/assessment strategy or
                  method.
a.                   Approval of Building Principal
                  b. Presentation to Board of Education
                  c. Implementation in classroom
                  d. Assess progress relative to student achievement
                  e. Report results to Board of Education

$0

COMMUNITY                 PROJECT FORM.

Sponsor                   community involvement or service project.
a.                   Develop project and present to HS Principal
                  b. Initial approval from High School Principal
                  c. Project must occur outside of regular school hours
                  d. Project must involve at least 5 students or adults
                  e. Project must reach satisfactory completion with final approval                   from the HS Principal.

Driver                   Education Assignment
a.                   Teach an approved Driver Education Course outside of the regular                   contract assignment.
                  b. Approval of Principal.
                  c. Keep a log of classroom and driving hours for each student.                  
                  d. Comply with regulations set forth by the Department of Motor                   Vehicles.
                  e. Present grades and evidence of course completion to the principal.

1/185th                     of the Individual's Current Regular Salary

SPECIAL                     CERTIFICATED ASSIGN. FORM

 

Special                   Certificated Assignments
a.                   Special certificated assignments for projects requiring certification,                   outside of the terms and conditions of the regular contract,                   and congruent to the responsibilities of the employee's present                   position.
                  b. Approval of Building Level Principal and Superintendent.
                  c. Project must take place outside of the regular school hours.
                  d. Present special project syllabus/lesson plan/description.
                  e. Conduct project or assignment within specified time or period.
                  f. Present results/verification of project completion.
                  g. Present results for Board Approval.

$100                     per day or at the Rate established by ESU, Grant, etc.

SPECIAL                     PROJECTS/WORKSHOPS FORM

 

Special                   Projects/Workshops
a.                   Special projects assignments supporting the planning, writing,                   or review of educational programs requiring work to be completed                   in addition to the regular assignment or beyond regular contract                   requirements.
                  b. Conduct project or assignment within specified time or period.                  
                  c. Present results/verification of project completion to the                   principal.
                  d. Present results for Board Approval.

$20 per session (2 hr. minimum)

SUMMER WEIGHT ROOM SUPERVISION 

 

 

Summer Weight Room Supervision
a.                   Summer schedule as determined by Activities Director.
b. All hours are approved by Activities Director.
 

Regular                     Support Staff Salary

SUPPORT                 PROJECTS FORM

Support                   Projects Assignments
a.                   Support project assignments in the areas of clerical, custodial,                   bus driver, kitchen, paraprofessional, library/media, etc...beyond                   the scope of the regular professional position and contract                   requirements.
                  b. Approval of Superintendent.
                  c.Conduct project or assignment within specified time or period.
                  d. Complete necessary requirements and log time card.
