The Grand March for Wynot Public School's Prom will begin at 6:30 on Saturday and is open to the public. Masks are required and we ask that anyone not involved in prom to leave after the grand march concludes.

For those not able to make the trip to Grand Island Monday night for the Boys District Championship game against Wallace, Joe D. Due to concerns of rolling blackouts and low wind chills Wynot Public Schools will not have school today February 16th. The sub district basketball games will still be held as scheduled. Students in grades 5-12 will find a VHS link in their emails to log into once in the morning and once in the afternoon.
This is a reminder for the Knights of Columbus Free-throw Contest open to ages 9-14. The contest begins Sunday at 12:30 pm. Doors will be open at 11:30am. The Booster Club is selling retro t-shirts to benefit the junior class as COVID-19 has altered their fundraising plans. Wynot Public Schools in accordance with the 25% guidelines will modify our spectator guidance to include Grandparents. From December 15th through January 4th Wynot Public Schools will allow no more than 4 household members per family (not per student) and grandparents will be included in that number. Due to circumstances beyond our control, Wynot public Schools will cancel all classes for Thursday and Friday. Teachers and Paras will still report. More information will be sent out on Thursday and Friday as we take the proper amount of time to ensure the safety of all students and staff.

The school would like to let you know that the winners of the Freshman, Sophomore, and Junior homecoming attendants were accidentally announced to the student body instead of waiting until Friday evening. This was a miscommunication that happened internally and it will be corrected for next year. We will still be honoring all the nominees during halftime of our homecoming game and announcing the winners at coronation. We are not attempting to change any traditions and sincerely apologize that this happened.

Graduation is this Sunday at 2PM on the baseball field. Below is some important information that the Health Department wanted us to send out to the community - Those who are sick or at risk, as well as those who may have been exposed to COVID 19 should stay home - Face masks are encouraged - Guest of our graduates should sit together in the grand stand but maintain six feet of social distance from other parties - There will be no receiving line, but instead we will place large bags for each graduate outside of the main school entrance for any cards or gifts
