SUPERINTENDENT'S PAGE
My name is Paul Hans. I am both honored and humbled to be selected as the next superintendent of Wynot Public Schools. For the past 30 years, I’ve been an educator in public and private, large, and smaller school districts in Nebraska and Iowa. During this time, I have gained valuable experience as a classroom teacher, instructional technologist, school improvement consultant, career education coordinator, building principal, and central office administrator. I believe that all of these professional and personal experiences have prepared me for this moment which is to serve the students, families, and community of WPS.
Like some of you, I am also a proud product of Wynot Public Schools (Class of 1982) and the community. My father (Class of 1937) was a board member for 24 years and all of my brothers and sisters, including uncles, aunts, and cousins, are WPS alumni. My Wife, Jill, is a 3rd grade teacher and reading specialist in Council Bluffs Community Schools. Our son Tyler is in his 2nd year at Union Pacific, and daughter Haley has recently finished her real estate license while going to college and working at Top Golf in Omaha.
While it has been many years since I have lived in Wynot, this town and the farm on which I was raised have always been home. All that I am and still hope to be is owed to WPS and the Wynot community. I look forward to getting to know EACH of you! I am excited to work with the Wynot staff and community over the upcoming years as we continue our quest to grow greatness in the hearts and minds of our students at Wynot Public Schools.
