WYNOT'S COVID POLICY AT A GLACE
If an individual tests positive for COVID, that one person will be required to quarantine. After the 5th day, if no symptoms are present, the student may return to school if they wear a mask for an additional 5 days. Alternatively, they can remain home for 10 days after the start of the symptoms.
During the quarantine period students will participate in remote learning.
Family members, classmates, and subgroups of the individual testing positive will not be required to quarantine or wear masks. However, they will be asked to monitor symptoms for the next 14 days.

ESSERS III USE OF FUNDS
As part of its commitment to stakeholder engagement, Wynot Public Schools sought input on the use of the ESSER III American Rescue Plan (ARP) Grant Funds. Signed into law in March of 2021, the ARP provides money to K-12 education.
Based on community feedback regarding the use of ESSERS III funds, WPS plans to replace the HVAC system in the elementary school, which is currently 27 years old. The HVAC system, windows, and insulation was assessed to be in poor condition and in need of major updating. Components of the project include inspection, testing, maintenance, repair, replacement, and upgrade projects to improve the indoor air quality in school facilities, including mechanical and non-mechanical heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, filtering, purification and other air cleaning, fans, control systems, and window repair and replacement.
Funds will also be used to purchase high quality instructional materials for K-12 math.
